Aldo has as many UFC stoppage losses as UFC stoppage wins

He stopped Mendes, KZ, Lil Heathen and Moicano.
He got stopped by Conor, Max (x2) and Yan.

Kind of a skewed statistic considering he came into the UFC as the FW champion and has only faced top tier competition virtually his entire career in the UFC. It's a lot easier to finish scrubinis on the way up a la Jon Jones and Anderson Silva, Aldo didn't face as weak competition overall in his UFC run imo.

But it is telling that two of his finishes are Stephens and Moicano, two of the weakest opponents.

That Aldo/KZ stoppage was one of the most cruel finishes I've ever seen. Thanks for the reminder of how awesome/gruesome this sport can be

Jose ''13 secondes'' Aldo is still a good fighter.

stop shiting on the guy

Kind of stupid not to count his WEC stoppages. It's not like he was ducking the UFC... the WEC FW divsion is the only reason the UFC FW division exists in the first place.

hes only fought top 5 guys since he been in the ufc. its not easy to rack up stoppages against the cream of the crop

Stephens has only been finished three times in the last 10 years. Silly thing to say tbh

What an utterly USELESS Statistic! Thank you wikiskank!

oh my god!

Can i hire you for the best nickname giving championships ever,in the world, tbnk.

Yes it's been wondered many times why his finish rate went down after moving from WEC to UFC.

Some think testing. Some think a step up in competition. Some think he got older.

I think mostly it was the step up in competition. Most of his finishes looked like Stephens - one crazy ass blow that he followed up on. And he just never landed that blow on Hominick, Edgar, etc. Or Faber in WEC for that matter (even though dude couldn't even walk by the 5th). But when he did (Stephens, Mendes, etc), he still capitalized like the old WEC days.
