Are you trying to act as in the Nathan Bedford Forest KKK didn't terrorize black communities in order to keep them from voting?

Both used violence to try and intimidate black communities.

They terrorized blacks and Republicans because of what was going on. The Republicans took control of the Southern government. They removed white office holders and replaced them with either a Republican from the North or a black person who had no business being in that position. It was done as punishment. The Forrest Klan was a retaliation for their treatment during Reconstruction.

The Klan of the 60’s was more of what people think of today. They were the ones who wanted to disenfranchise blacks and other non whites during the Civil Rights era.
