AJ can KO anyone. But did he improve enough to beat DC since their last fight? We just don´t know...

Look at what Johnson did after his loss to DC....

Manuwa, round 2 KOrumble ko manuwa.png
Bader rumble ko bader.JPG
KO Teixeirarumble ko teixeira.jpg

Of course he deserves the TS, he´s beating all the other possible contenders.... but we simply don´t know if his game irmproved enough where it really matters: that grinding offensive wrestling and relentless pressure from DC.

My point is, a lot of people thought JDS was ready for that trilogy with Cain after the beating of the second fight... So, besides that obvious early KO, does Rumble really stand a good chance of getting that belt from DC?

DC didn't look all that great verse Anderson Silva, but I guess his gameplan made it look like that. AJ is dangerous and I feel like he's improved. I didn't see much improvement in DC's fighting.

If AJ can't finish DC in the first, then I think DC gets it done in similar fashion.

He sent DC flying with a punch so he clearly has the crazy power to do it, but DC fights are a brutal grind.

Maybe he did improve enough, maybe he didn't, but I'm excited to find out!! Could and should be a fun fight.

Improve that cardio and tdd and he's got a great shot. I don't think that's too hard either, it's not like rumble is some noob on the mat. He has a background wrestling as well, obviously not on dc's level doe. I'll be rooting for him for sure.

I'm picking Rumble in the rematch.
hell yeah, DC got lucky he saw that punch coming in their first fight & was able to brace for it

DC is getting old, he's getting KO'ed this time

Jon vs AJ for the real belt when Jon returns instead of DC 2 lmao I had a feeling that'd end up happening

I personally don't think Rumble needed to "improve", he just needed another opportunity.

I don't see any improvement from Rumble's end. He's the same explosive guy he was before. People saying he's improved are ridiculous. He hasn't shown any aspect of improvement in his fights.

He's still the same guy that doesn't have a jiu-jitsu game and is going to get mauled by Cormier on the ground.

Could he win? Sure. But it sure as hell won't be unpredictable. It'll be an early RD KO like it always is, and considering Cormier's chin, it's unlikely to happen before Cormier throws him on his head again.

Yeah I believe Rumbles pressure will be too much for DC. Rumble will be quicker than Cormier in every department as well.

So...you start the thread, but don't bring any analysis of your own? Weak...

I'll take both fighters entire careers as evidence that DC will be able to survive at range, be able to close the distance, and secure enough TDs until he either gets a submission or TKO win.

AJ can land a lucky punch, but that's all he's got here.

I'm rooting for Rumble this time around. Hope that he can catch DC for good in this one.

There are only two possible options:
Rumble first round KO
Or DC by prison rape

I am expecting very explosive fight

LOL at "improve"

He either tags someone just right or he doesn't.

i doubt it honestly - but he doesnt necessarily need to improve - his technique is to land early, he had done so in the last fight also - it could happen and cormier may not recover this time

If he can't unload and get rid of him in 1. He loses again..

kinda feel this way too, who knows how that fight would have went if rumble didn't rush right into a takedown after the knockdown.

rumble only needs one shot, but i think DC only needs that one takedown. honestly have no idea who'll win but i like both guys so it won't bother me whoever wins.

Nope, I don't see it. I think Cormier dominates him again, once the fight gets tough and starts going against Rumble he will just wilt and shell up. Cormier knows that. I expect a beatdown after round 2
