Aisling Daly Sees Her Superior Cardio As A Key To Defeating Claudia Gadelha

Daly is 5'2? Wow I didn't know that.

Gadelha does tire herself quickly, but her coaches are not idiots and, I guess, are trying to work on that one way or another. The problem is Gadelha is super strong and sticks like a bur. Not to mention, she's an accomplished BJJ practitioner. I see the fight close, but ultimately Gadelha should win.

not hating on Daley but why is she getting such a big jump in competition considering she is ranked @ #9

shouldn't someone like Rose,Penne or JoJo be in that fight instead?

Because they want Gadelha to win

Looking pretty soft for a cardio machine.

This rarely turns out to be good idea, but who knows.

Hoping for a good fight.

Also, laughing from this damn picture:

Claudia Gadelha

The only time I saw her was in TUF and she was distinctly unimpressive. Gadelha is going to maul her.

Its likely the intent of this matchup was to keep Claudia at the top of the division, as opposed to gifting Daley a top opponent.

I like Daley so I hope she pulls off a miracle.

The thing is they have the same gameplan: pin the opponent against the cag, strike in clinch, then drag her to the ground and smother from the top.

In the article, Ais said (of TUF): "My performances were subpar because of the constant stress of keeping your weight down."

When you're that soft, you really have no excuse. It's not like she's ripped to shreds and has to dehydrate herself to near death in order to make weight. Lose a couple of pounds of fat.

I dont think the SW rankings are totally accurate right now, not until theres been more fights.

Like Rose's 4th in the rankings. Shes 2-2, not 4th in the rankings in any way shape or form. (And i dont really think you can match up a 2-2 fighter on a 2 fight losing streak against someone whos 11-1, it would be really hard to justify that match and it would almost certainly put Rose to 2-3, she doesnt have the experience)

Daly has the right amount of experience for this fight, has taken decent fighters like Katyaa and Barb Honchack the distance. Shes a tougher challenge than Rose would be

as for the matchup, this is a reallly tough one for Ais, but i agree with her to an extent that if she can get through the first 3 minutes things will start to turn towards her. But, you cant just go losing round one and hoping to win.

One more thought: Daly was outwrestled and outgrappled in all of her recent 3 losses. Granted, she went through murderer's row: Rosi Sexton (then a good wrestler), Barb Honchak (current 125 pounds Invicta champ) and Katja Kankaanp
