Attorney General Barr has sent a memo authorizing federal prosecutors across the U.S. to pursue “substantial allegations” of voting irregularities, if they exist, before the 2020 presidential election is certified.

While I think we all agree that election fraud should be prevented and punished where applicable, this is an unusual step considering the lack of concrete evidence of any widespread fraud.
In light of some of Barr’s actions regarding the Russia investigation, and considering that an ex federal prosecutor warned of Barr’s potential meddling a couple of weeks back, there are some troubling questions regarding Barr’s motives.

How do you feel about this, and what do we think will come of it?

Barr was saying months ago that mail in ballots would be a disaster and he turned out to be right. And just because they haven't presented every bit of evidence they have to the public, doesn't mean it isn't wide spread. Better to not let the media figure out how to spin the evidence they produce. Let the investigation play out. It may take time but there's no real argument against it. Will Biden win the election? Most likely. But let the chips fall where they may, and be patient.

Just for show. This is the "voter fraud taskforce" from 2016 all over again. Guarantee that Trump pressured him and since Barr is his spineless lackey he followed along

It's funny how he's proven right based upon zero evidence whatsoever, because you guys have a hunch. Debunked CT after debunked CT lie at your feet, and still. As if we haven't seen Barr pull shit like this out of his ass time and time again, only to hear jack shit when it all pans out to nothing. LOL

there was a voter fraud task force in 2016?

Imagine a regular citizen starting a Federal investigation based on substantial allegations. Literally hearsay.

Mail in ballots were not a disaster it Republican controlled legislatures and Governors who prevented mail in ballots from being counted early that created confusion and doubt. It was 100% intentional, they wanted to cause confusion and more importantly doubt..

If you're not worried about anything being discovered, why protest? There's nothing wrong with this.
Ah yes, the ol “If you don’t have any contraband why don’t you let these nice police search your house?” argument. ;)
The main issue I have is that Barr has shown himself to be completely untrustworthy. While his memo is a directive authorizing federal prosecutors to do this, the fact that he’s personally involved himself personally in certain cases in odd ways doesn’t give me much comfort.

It's in your own op:

If there's no fraud then it will be a short pursuit. I really don't see how anyone has a problem with this.

we the people.
