After watching Jones this past weekend, him being the 200 ME is worrisome..

Aldo is old and no1 cares about him.
DC is old.
Jones has turned into a point fighter.
Tate vs. Nunes (who cares LOL).

Cain v Browne is the only fight on this card worth a damn imo.

The moose is on this too but he's been very ... "meh" his past few fights.

I'll probably order 198 over this.. at least that has Silva, Werdum, Shogun, Belfort, Maiai, Brown, etc.. Sick card.

Cormier and Cain training with each other for this event is the problem. I'd love to see Dana's reaction if those AKA training methods strike again

Good to know that we can judge a fighter based on a single performance under very unfavorable conditions. By your logic, anyone who lost their last fight will never win again. And it seems odd to complain about fighters being "old" and then bring up people like Silva, Werdum, Shogun, Belfort, and Maia as exciting draws.

How have you been here for 9 years and are still making posts like this?

Seriously disappointing main and co main, Jones will easily win and I couldn't give a shit about wmma.
I still think this could be all a plan to have Conor Nate at 3 rounds. Which would suit a more efficient Conor a lot better than 5

You would just bitch and moan regardless

He is probably gonna try to knock DC out to retire him.

dc is old.. so what did has he ever fought like an old man yet

29 year old Jose Aldo is old? You are a moron

We don't care if you like 198 more than 200.

Why do you even care about this one card anyway? NO one is forcing you to watch.

jones needs more of the motivational marching powder from columbia to be exciting.

If point fighting means breaking people's arms I'm all for it.

I think he'll have decent excuse if he loses

Can't see him giving any credit to DC

And if it's quite close then they make another fight straight after for MSG in November

This sucks. I guess I'm the only Aldo fan left. I give a damn about him. I don't really care to hear some of the things that have been coming out of his mouth lately, but after reigning for as long as he has and then have his division put on hold while the champ seeks other weight classes is BS.

Agreed, just like Condit runs from all his opponents after the Nick Diaz fight. You can't base a fighter's permanent style off of a situation like this. I'll eat my words gladly if that's the case for Cormier. Jones was coming off of a long layoff and was training for Cormier. He had everything to lose against OSP and nothing to gain. So he played a safe fight and for good reasons.

I think he'll come in, just like Cormier will, to rip his opponent's head off at 200.

Cain v Browne is the only fight on this card worth a damn imo.
Seriously agreed this time. I'm good with Cain on the card but could care less about him being matched up against Browne. I'm still a little salty over the "win" Browne had against Meathead.

I'll probably order 198 over this.. at least that has Silva, Werdum, Shogun, Belfort, Maiai, Brown, etc.. Sick card.
200 isn't official yet, so hard to say. But hard to deny the 198 lineup this far. Looking better than 200 in my eyes as well.

It's still a good card TS. Like you, I'll prolly order 198 instead of 200, but I'll still watch 200 at the pool hall.

You saying all that makes me laugh, thinking how the post presser would go if he lost. Ariel asking him what kind of things he sees he needs to change in his game from the past to put back into his arsenal. Jones replying with, "I guess I need to get back to cocaine and driving. That was my winning formula."

Glass half empty...

I'm looking forward to Jones / DC II

The return of Cain (hopefully he doesn't get injured, lol)

Edgar vs Aldo should be a nice scrap.

He hasn't finished anyone since before the Gus fight. The last time he finished anyone was his gimme fight against Chael over 3 years ago.

OVP has been finished once in the last 7 years. DC has never been finished, and is undefeated not counting the Jones fight. Texiera was last finished in 2002. And Gus has only been finished twice, once at the wrecking ball hands of Rumble, and once against Davis when his ground game was much weaker.

Jones may not have finished these guys, but it wasn't for lack of trying.

I think DC brings the fight out of Jones. Not only because of the beef between them, but DC's style will make him fight. Maybe DC gasses at the end like he did in the first fight, but you know he will be game to pressure early for at least the first 3 rounds. I think of fights with Evans, Glover (jacked up his shoulder), OSP--none of those guys brought anything to the table in those fights--5 round dominations but lack luster. Then you think of guys like Glover and DC--they brought the fight--went to decisions but fun to watch.
