After some though, I believe an immediate rematch is not the best for Gus

I'll be happy either way. The rematch is inevitable in the long run, and Gus has lots of other cool fights. Jones has Glover and Davis, maybe give Rashad another shot (and maybe there will be somebody new in line by then). I don't see either one of them losing to anybody besides each other though.

An immediate rematch won't benefit Gus's gas tank. That's perhaps his biggest disadvantage to Jones right now. At various stages of the fight, you could see Gus wilting like he was struggling to stay on his feet. At the end of the third, fourth, and fifth rounds, Gus was on the verge of being dropped. That's why Jones won. Gus was never close to finishing the fight.

I think Gus faded majorly after JBJ's elbow to the head, that was just brutal. However, JBJ was gassing bad in that last round as well, it's just that he was fighting flat footed so you didn't notice it as much as with Gus
