when you got a 100m in the bank the last thing you'd want to do is get in the cage with Khabib.

What the hell were Conors handlers thinking?

Conor is a fighter, afterall. Just an inactive one. But nobody can say he's a duck.

I don't like the guy, but let's give him credit where credit is due.
I didn't think he'd take the Khabib fight but he did.

LOL @ being a deluded casual thinking he bagged a 100m

he barely got half of that and he came out with brain damage
you could actually say Dana made more than conor considering he didn't get knocked around the ring and suffer some brain damage

He has become a business man. This fight is the best move for business. If he wins, he makes more money. If he loses, there is the Nate Diaz 3 fight or a rematch if the fight is close.

It's to be expected. This is how Conor became a star, he goes out and proves all the doubters wrong which creates a shock wave. Every fan was once a hater who became a believer.

Conor is smart. He waited till the most marketable opponement was champ. Khabib seems unbeatable, has good following and is now the champ. Tony would have done less buys, Khabib has this 'mystique' around him.

People don't appreciated how calculated Conor has been.

~Waited till the PPV landscape was on the downhill so he can have even more leverage in the negotiations
~Waited till all the stars were gone
~Waited till an undefeated challenger with huge amounts of hype behind him came along
~Waited till people a lot of people started to doubt him

All these things will simply make the reward even bigger, so from a risk/reward standpoint this is the perfect time to come back to fight Khabib.

Meh. Khabib dont really do permanent damage. He is basically fitch 2.0

Floyd probably did much more damage to conor. Just listen to him talking right after the fight.

It's amazing how quickly money goes away when you are as stupid and reckless as Conor. His expenses must be astronomical, and his value was slowly but surely receding as he was inactive. Hopefully, Khabib puts an end to this circus and promptly mauls Conor.

Win or lose no one can call Conor a duck after this fight. This is the hardest fight he could pick right now and he is about to fight the guy
