This was taken from a meeting that Trump had with some inner city pastors at the White House. Agree or disagree with this statement it's good to see a little bit of unity for a change.

He was a Trump supporter before the election. In case anybody doesn't know what this meeting was about, they are discussing prison reform. I mentioned in another thread that the administration was pushing from some reforms and encouraging employers to hire more recently released prisoners.

Seriously, most general labor employers don't do background checks. Just ban that stupid 'Have you ever been convicted of a felony' or anything related to it checkbox you see on employment applications and shit will get a lot easier for people fresh out of prison. Easier to find jobs = easier to support themselves through legal means = less chance of them going back to a life of crime. It's not fucking rocket science, but for some stupid reason neither side will take a remarkably simple, AND COMPLETELY FREE, step to solving a major problem in the US.

So that the money will eventually trickle down to the lower classes inner-city African Americans often belong too.
