i am amatuer mma fighter at 155lbs. i have a 6-1 record but havent really fought in any big shows. i walk around at about 157-159 lbs with 6% bodyfat. i have been told by a pro fighter i train with that if i want to make it to the next level in need to go to 145lbs. other people have told me that i too skinny and not to do it. i have never cut weight before. my biggest weakness is that im not naturally very strong. i got a personal trainer now for weight lifting and am getting stronger but still feel that i will be giving away weight to people who cut.
my question is..........should i cut to 145? how difficult will it be? opinons?

first, read the FAQ, that will tell you everything about cutting weight, and how to do it properly

second, ten pounds is not a difficult cut. Weigh yourself before and after a heavy practice and you'll probably be 2-5 pounds lighter afterwards. You can lose that easily without much impact on your muscle or stamina.
