Does anyone have any experience with the Adidas Club Gi? Seka-Sports, Inc. | adidas Judo Club Gi I know it's not top of the line, but I'm not looking for a top of the line gi. I train no gi, but I was thinking of trying out some traditional BJJ since my gym offers it as well, but I don't want to pour a lot of money into it.

You get what you pay for. I got one from CSI, and personally I think it's garbage, and not worth the $30. The pants are paper thin. I can't really see them lasting at all. The jacket is thin, but seems ok, but to me, what good is a jacket w/o pants?? Also, word on the street is that they shrink ALOT!

I didn't keep mine. It's boxed up and ready to be shipped back to CSI. There are some people at my school who are interested though, so I might sell to them.

I guess if you just want to dip your foot into the water of Gi BJJ, I guess it would do though. You could also, keep an eye out on Ebay for a cheap gi (possibly used if you're not opposed to that sort of thing).

Thanks for the info Flounder. That's kind f what I expected. I've read some good things and HCK, but I don't like that their pants are apparently as think as jeans.

Just get a Howard unbleached or Fuji.
You might pay 20-30 more, but you will have a nice gi.
Fuji is $75 shipped from this place On sale Fuji Bjj Kimonos - White or Blue - Free ship/handling at Discount Martial Arts Supplies

A Howard unbleached is the same shipped. I would probably go with the Fuji.

I dont know if you checked that site out thoroughly, because they are very limited on sizes and their shipping options only show one option, which is $38.50, so you will almost spend the same money.

Your call though.

I just posted that site so people would know which gi I was talking about. That's good advice though about paying a little more for a superior product. I'm going to check out the Fuji.

Drop 69 dollars on a fugi gi..You will not like the Adidas ....Fugis the best starter gi on the market

The adidas gi pants aren't even as thick as jeans. More like slacks. lol They're literally so thin, that when I opened the box and took them out, they held the impression from the jacket (you know the pattern of the platinum weave?? it was like imprinted on the pants)

Think I'm going with teh Fuji...after I get paid. Thanks for the help. I'll return the favor and post up a review after a while.

I'm 5'11" 200 lbs...which size would you get????
A3 or A4?

thanks

The Adidas jacket isn't so bad when you consider the price, but man do the pants suck.

i have the judo club gi. its a longer traditional cut with wide cuffs. its a decent single weave for the price.

adidas shine when you get into the double weaves like the elite and champion.

I bought the Adidas club gi from CSI on sale for $30

The pants are shit and the jacket is longer than normal with baggy-ish sleeves. If you can get it for $30 like I did then it's not a bad cheap back-up gi, but unless you can get it super cheap just get a Fuji. I have a Fuji as well and I love it - awesome gi.
