*Adesanya's performance against Anderson Silva shouldn't be taken too seriously*

I mean, Anderson is a really great fighter, even being past his prime. But he's also Adesanya's MMA idol. After watching the fight i believe both of them were more eager of giving a rare, technical showing, than going for a TKO/KO. Not saying they wouldn't knock his opponent if they got a chance, but definitely they were comfortable with the way thay "exhibition match" was working out. In that way, they both were respectful to each other after the fight ended.

So, i'm bringing this cause i've read several posts about how people were dissapointed with the nigerian's last performance, and they say this might be the reason why they think Gastelum might beat him this weekend. I don't know whose gonna take this fight, but i believe that fight isn't the best one to get some answers.

It was a good performance, he pretty much dominated the whole fight and stunned silva multiple times.

    Absolute nonsense.

Anderson has enough in the tank to hang, but not win. Any professional fighter is looking for the win, it's not the movies. Hall ripped Penn's knee, it was respect. You don't hold back.

Title shot off of beating number 15. Meanwhile Jacare has been ‘promised’ one

My grandpa wouldn’t have come close to landing a flying knee on me.

Nor would he have won a round. Lol

And neither fighter had any say in the matter. You get the TS or you don’t. You don’t say no to interim or regular TS when they’re offered, though. That’s not going well for Tony atm. Didn’t work out for Colby yet, either. Again though, it’s the UFC decides these things.

Not saying you’re hating on Adesanya but many do for this type of thing. It makes me smh like when the fighter gets the hate for the decision of the judges. It’s ridiculous.

Such a fucking stupid point you try to make. Show me one high level glory/k1 kickboxer at the big weight classes without a KO loss.

Spong, Hari, Lebanner, hoost, saki, overeem, Hunt, sefo, bonjansky, and the list goes on....

Its a part of the sport

He said it would be the final scene in his movie. Master meets prodigy shit. He was coming for the kill. He didn't have the power or the size or the ability to KO an Anderson in no fear of TD. He held his hands down and let Israel punch him flush as.. he sometimes does. Which is pretty amazing. Kelvin it would have been violent in there until Anderson went down. Imagine if Anderson dropped his hands and let Kelvin hit him with a one-two? He'd be Out-Cold. You can't find his 5 rounder with Tavares anywhere except MMA-core for a reason, this is one of the hardest fights to call. On paper if he keeps his distance he should win a decision with the judges help if necessary. But if you left the room for 25 minutes, main events rarely go 5 these guys are proven killers who wear each-other out. Who do you think will be the last man standing, Israel.. or Kelvin? What's your gut tell you if you heard the TV erupt in the next room. Surviving 25 with this form of Kelvin in love with his power right now firing planted rockets all night he has no need to fear the one-punch KO from Israel he can't do that. It's a hard fight to call. But I'm riding with Kelvin despite the massive height/ reach advantage and Israel's NZ toughness. Or Israel is simply the real fucking deal.

But...isn't this a 3 rounder? It's not the main event or a championship fight. Causecif it's a 5 rounder i believe Kelvin got more chances. More time to land a big shot.

Dominated #9 and #6 before that and is undefeated
Meanwhile Jacare can't even stack 2 wins together lately

First time i watch that KO. What brings my attention is that that didn't seem like a heavy shot. Kelvin could punch harder.

Retired Bisping beat Silva more convincingly then Adesanya. And Kelvin wiped the floor with Bisping.
