How do you guys think this fight would have gone? Someone would definitely get KO'd. I think Izzy could pick Manhoef apart and possibly catch him coming in. But I don't know. Manhoef was scary and had ridiculous power.

Lmao. Can never count out someone that KO'd Mark Hunt in like 10 seconds, though.
That was one fight. Mw Gegard also clipped hunto and followed him down to ground and sub-ed him inside a minute.
Israel also too many advantages ( outside of power). I wasnt trying to slight Melvin as a fighter .A scary dude but have seen him with upper hand only to gas or get ko-ed himself or sub ed ( my post was a bit flippant)

Yeah, his cardio and ground game are pretty atroctious.

prime manhoef could beat any man, on any given day. the guy is a MW and he went and fought in the K1 HW GP.

yes, his issue was inconsistency, and he lost fights he should've won far too many times. but he could literally, not figuratively, beat anyone. dude's power was unbelievable, and he had solid technique as well.

To correct myself( I think)- Melvin has only fallen to t(kos) not any flat kos.

Amen. I dig that he was often the smaller guy going up against giants and he finished many of them brutally.

Ppl will say Izzy bc he's in his stride but if Melvin connects the way Kelvin was able to, Izzy could very well be asleep

On a good day, Manhoef wins by ko. On a bad day, he loses. He has some bad days, so I would say 50/50

Both are also accomplished kickboxers. That fight would be intriguing under K1 rules too.

Alexander Shlemenko also got Melvin pretty brutally, result was over turned due to a positive steroid test.

and Kyotaro got Melvin pretty good in their K-1 fight.

For all Melvin's power, he can get over aggressive and leave himself wide open, as you ca see from the clips
Totally agree, always chin up swinging from the hips. Fun to watch though

I think I would actually pick Manhoef. A lot of the fights he lost was after he had fought a bunch of HWs and his chin deteriorated.
