29 is not 'fucking old'. Israel also started MMA a couple years later than Gastelum and Whittaker at the same time he was kickboxing.
Gastelum was in the UFC since 2013, Whittaker was in the UFC since 2012. Israel joined the UFC in 2018 and he's already fighting for the interim belt against Gastelum, that's fucking insane.

I'll admit Israel does seem a lot younger than he actually is though.
