sounds like the guy is scared
by the end of 2021 Khamzat will be holding 2 belts
Don't worry, Izzy will expose Khamzat. After he derails the Costa hype train.
Wow Izzy v Khamzat would be interesting
I agree, but Khamzat hasn't proven himself against a top 10 raked fighter yet. I think it's bit early to call him a future champ. Remember everyone was hyping up Edmen Shahbazyan not too long ago, and look how that turned out.
Ratlip is his name
Another trend started by Conor!
anyway Adesanya Beats Khamzat, way too good and big.
Fast track him please
Edmen is still only 22, so he still can get up there. Also Edmen went to a split decision in his first UFC bout. Khamzat has absorbed 2 strikes in 3 UFC fights. Khamzat also comes from more reliable gym than Edmen does
Ha ha I did think of Edmen this week actually, but yes he's still got a bit to prove before he's considered elite.
Everyone was also hyping Izzy quickly into his UFC tenure and that turned out okay.
rat lip gnaws pinky
True, but still we don't know how Khamzat will do when he is in their with a truly elite fighter. He could be just as dominate, or he could get exposed. I guess we'll find out when he fights Maia.
Actually I wouldn't mind if Khamzat fought Edmen. Both guys are young prospects with exciting styles. It could be a good fight.
If Costa is out due to Covid then brings Khamzat in.
The fight would be a lot of fun
I don’t think that Maia is big test for Khamzat. If he doesn’t get to cocky and tries to submit Maia he should KO Maia on the feet.
A fight with Edmen would be a good test for him at MW. Edmen might have the advantage on the feet, but Khamzat could wrestle him and tire him out to a TKO. Good next fight for him at MW
Yes well for every Israel Adesanya there is at least 10 fighters who Sherdog hypes up as being a future champ, then they get exposed once they face real competition. The chances of Khamzat being another hype train that is going to get derailed is much higher than the chances of Khamzat being the next Israel Adesanya. But hey if I'm wrong then I'll be the first one to come on here and admit it.
Izzi will regret that
I disagree, a lot of people underestimate Maia because of his age but he has only lost to the elites at 170. (Woodley, Usman, Colby, Burns) beating someone with the BJJ credentials of Maia is still impressive. Regardless of his age.
I agree 100%. Book it Dana.
