When Sandler stepped away from that he really started to excel... Spanglish, Click, the Meyerowitz Stories, etc. He just seemed to kind of give up when he didn't get Oscar nominations for trying real acting, but he was good at it. Too bad he mostly went back to a low effort, far worse version of his previous man child stuff like Pixels and Jack & Jill.

Eh I'll admit I haven't seen the first three you mentioned. I gave up on Sandler way before those.

I fucking can't stand the film Liar Liar. What an awful message it has.

Dude is shitty and neglectful towards his son for idk how long, the mom moves on to another guy. And while it may be cringy at times, the new guy makes an effort to try and connect with the kid. Seems like a decent guy all around. But Jim Carey spends a day or two being honest and somehow wins his family back? Stupid. He doesn't deserve them. And the other guy just gets tossed aside, the fuck???
