Actual question looking for insight: why is Ank -mostly- favored in the rematch? Thks in advance

(OP) Great insight and points from all of you. Thks!
The only stone left unturned is how will Ank get away with eating so, so many low kicks in the rematch.
*I addressed the southpaw thing here https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/...ematch-thks-in-advance.4361369/post-175307554

Do you think...?

A. He will finish Alex early.
B. He could've dodged or checked many of them, he just felt they didn't hurt that night.

Besides, I believe something was wrong with his lead hand/arm because it was pretty much absent the whole fight. But this is just speculation.
The calf kicks were actually landing
, although not causing any apparent damage.
And it's well reported by Jiri, Izzy... that even 1/3 of them hurt a lot and drastically impair movement.

Thanks again!

Immediate rematches tend to go to the first winner even more convincingly as they now have more confidence and the former champion less. Not a rule, but goes that way more often than not.

Because no reason to believe Ank can't do it again. Why would a guy who lost the last fight against the same opponent be favored in the rematch immediately after?

Because Alex is too nice and likeable so now he is hated on sherdong - also, ank won a close decision that many thought he lost hence him being the big favourite

Why don't you read the OP (or at least my 1st post in this 3rd page) instead of giving a generic answer just going by the thread title?
Not being (or not trying to be) a douche, it's just that I can get to that answer myself.

I tried to raise some questions worth a thought or two, IMHO.
