Absolutely amazed at how little a chance Cerrone is being given here.

Let me say, I have no emotional investment in this fight. I don't like or dislike either of these guys. With that out of the way...

Cerrone has WON 5 fights since Conor's last victory. We're talking 3 full years here, people.

In that time, Conor was embarrassed by:
    • Mayweather (who carried the damn fight for entertainment value; could have flatlined Conor at ANY point).
    • Khabib (the less said about Conor's performance here, the better),

I never make fight predictions in absolute terms, but it's breath-taking how decidedly un-sober a lot of folks are being about this match-up. 3 years is a long goddamn to be uncompetitive, and that's exactly what Conor's been.

It's possible that Cerrone has taken so much damage in his wars that he's carrying an undisclosed injury or just general wear and tear. Maybe there's something I don't know.

Any guy that can go 5 full fucking rounds with Iaquinta and pull out the win is not to be trifled with, though. I think there's a VERY good chance Cerrone pulls this off.

This is a very emotional post for a person with no emotional attachment to the fight

Most people are giving him no chance due to their hatred for Conor

Cerrone is more than capable of pulling this off

people give Cerrone no chance just because of the money to be made off a Conor victory. Donald has already said he would literally take it in the ass if the price was right, so there is some deep skepticism regarding the legitimacy of the fight.

I don’t give Donald much of a chance just because stylistically it’s a nightmare match up for him. He struggles against southpaws, guys that pressure, and guys with good boxing. Those 3 consistent struggles are exactly how Conor fights.

I don't get it either. When I first heard about the fight I assumed Cowboy would win. Perhaps not easily. Or it can very well be easy.

Since Conor has only lost to champs (Mayweather and Khabib) many assume he cant lose to a non-champ. Yes he lost to Nate but then as now no one gave Conor's opponnent a chance. We all saw how that turned out.

Cerrone can beat him with the right gameplay, especially if he decides to be a Cowbitch.

The cards are just stacked against him. Conor starts super fast, Cerrone starts super slow, Conor makes an impact in the first round, Cowboy often starts with his game round two, Conor pressures guys and folds them under pressure, Cerrone folds when being pressured, Conor is a sniper, Cerrone falls to head hunting snipers, Conor will ensure Cerrone engages where Conor is strongest, Cerrone will not engage where Cerrone is strongest against a weaker opponent grappling for example. I mean it's everything together. Cerrone is very stubborn and Conor just has his number. I would so fooking love to be wrong on this. Please tell me I am wrong. Because if cowboy somehow gets a head kick knockout, I think I will just abandon my life as human and transition to nirvana.

We get it you hate Conor, but Khabib actually has came out and said Conor was a far tougher fight than Dustin.

I feel that Cowboy is gonna upset the odds here

Can't deny that McGregor always starts strong, then fades in the 3rd round, and that cowboy is a slow starter who gets better as the fight goes on. I think many people are expecting a very early KO for McGregor, and it wouldn't be that surprising.

And the fact that Cerrone said he would strike and go toe to toe with McGregor is a big red flag. That's not a gameplan that will give him a win against a superior striker who will pressure him.

    I see 2 possible options.

    Conor TKOs him quickly.
Cowboy gets a head kick knockout late in the first.

I tend to agree, but it’s impossible to ignore the fact that cowboy made gaethje look like god damn mcgregor. And now he’s fighting mcgregor lol
