About to throw 200 on Sage

5dimes had it as 880, that's why I wondered where he was getting that payout figure.

Earlier the lines were +137 and +143, but they've both gone down since even then(just a couple hours back). I imagine it was possible when he posted it, seeing as how the lines keep shifting.

I'll be honest. I don't think I'm going to back Sage. I'm really not sure.... 200 is too much.... Hmmmm....

Put it on Perry instead.

If its money you dont need I dont see why people arent betting on Sage. I was actually shocked when I found out Sage was the underdog. What was it like all of Galls MMA opponents are like 3 - 3 were as just his UFC competition Sages opponents are like 44 - 11. How the hell is Gall the fav?

I'd avoid that bet, fights too close to call. You're better off betting on Vanzant.

Wow never knew he was also a TKD fighter. Its a goodthing some of the other arts he knows will.

Yeah, I'm going with Mickey by rear naked choke. Seems to be his bread and butter. Taekwondo won't do Sage any good on the ground.

I got Sage too, Gall has never fought a guy who has won a pro fight before, it's a good bet imo.

Im thinking Sage is gonna win this fight and hes the underdog. The only way he loses if Gall gets him on his back and uses his jitz which i dont think will happen. I put 250 on Ward to win and won

sage is a pretty safe bet but id put it on perry instead

Because Gall is a pretty good grappler, and Sage clearly is not comfortable when he ends up on his back? Then throw in that this isn't Sage's normal weight class, and it could be a recipe for disaster.

Huh? They add a ton of value. Way more risk too, obviously.

If you're confident enough to lay big money on a fight based on perceived value, then you should be willing to pair that with some other fights, and get....wait for it............. more value.

I.E. Nunes at +225(where the line started... and i got in) plus Gall at -120 or Perry at -140. Or you bet Nunes +Gall for 100, and Nunes + Perry for 100. As long as Nunes wins and Gall or Perry wins, you're plus 300. If Gall and Perry both win, you're plus 800.

Payout for a +225 and a -120 is approx. 5 to 1

Payout for a +225 and a -120 is $495.83 in a parlay at $100 stake.

Now lets look at it from a straight bet perspective where you just roll the principle and winnings into the second bet:

$100 on +225 = $225 profit, and a total return of $325.
$325 on -120 = $270.83 profit, and a total return of $595.83, and after you factor in that you staked $100 in the first place, you made $495.83.

Again, parlays add no value.

They add literally 0 value. It's nothing but convenience at the cost of added risk.

Take, for instance, the parlay in question:

Sage at +137(the best line any major online sportbetting bookie has him at) and Nunes at +143.

Parlayed, they pay out $951.82 profit, plus your initial stake of $200 for a total return of $1151.82

$200 stake on +137 = $274 in winnings, $474 total return
$474 on +143 = $677.82 in winnings, $1151.82 total return.

What's 274+677.82? 951.82. What does the parlay pay out? $951.82.

Check the math if you don't believe me.

I assume ya'll checked the math.
