Abmar Barbosa has been tearing it up in 2010. In September, he's coming to Canada and will be in Barrie, Ontario for a week.

Musashi Martial Arts is pleased to host Abmar for a gi seminar on Saturday September 25th.

Time: 1pm - 3:30pm

Cost: $60

Spots are limited to 25.

He's been making steady appearances in New England and along the eastern seaboard this year....I'd be curious to hear from anyone else who has been to one of his seminars in the U.S.

Abmar is excited about coming to Canada to share his game with everyone on the mats. He specifically asked to put the word out to everyone in the area and fill the room. We are really hoping to fill all 25 spots.

Also, if anyone is interested in getting on the mats thru the week leading up to the 25th, Abmar will be teaching all the night classes. E-mail me for the schedule. space is limited and will be RSVP...Same thing for anone who wants to get a private session in during the week.

Abmar is in town now and we put our first class in tonight. He'll be running gi classes all week here in Barrie.

Wednesday: 2 classes- noon-1:30pm and 9pm-10ish
Thursday: 7pm-8:30pm
Friday: 7pm-8:30pm
Sunday: afternoon class - time TBA

$30 drop in mat fee or $80 for the week($60 if you sign up for the seminar)

Seminar on Saturday the 25th- 1pm to 3:30pm - $60

There is space in all of the classes but the seminar is almost full. Send me mail if you want to get in on any of the days. If you want to grab a private thru the week, there are still a few slots left..Saturday is full though..$100/hr

I've been to one of Abmar's seminars, and several classes that he taught a few months ago. His approach to jiu jitsu is fantastic. If you attend a class, come ready to work hard.

Great classes,,, super technical drilling and intense pace with the rolls at the end...Abmar's rolling with everyone on the mats... Good times had by all last night and this afternoon. Back on the mats tonight and the right through till the end of the week.
