Yes he did. That hype train went off rails real quick.
there's no way that was a year ago
Was the 4th time he'd been finished...
"The guy that was supposed to dethrone Jon Jones"
Then a few months later Jan showed Corey there’s another level for the ability to absorb head trauma
UFC 244, Nov. 2, 2019
What a goof. Remember when he tried to trash talk Jones
Rumour has it some Sherdoggers haven't resurfaced since this day.
Remember when he was the guy to beat Jones? Then Nikita Krylov completely put it to bed.
Then 11 months after that Santos showed Jan just how many levels there can be.
great flashback, thanks ts
God Anderson's "ThErE'S LeVeLs!!!!!" is one of the cringiest thing I've seen in MMA. That has become such an overused phrase anyway.
He got his stupid haircut knocked out of him
I think Jan's loss to Santos came first before Jan beat Corey?
J-Dubs was just getting warmed up
Walker is definitely the most entertaining when he's staggering around...
Walker's definitely a good sport, though. Anderson was going goofy primal in his face and he just sort of looked at him like "you got me" in a dazed, half - conscious way.
Broke my heart, really.
Correy eating his words via brutal Jan KO was one of my favorite "poetic justice" moments in recent mma (at least since Khabib mauled Conrad).
In fact, Polish Power getting the belt (didn't see that coming a year ago!) was an awesome development imo for LHW. I think booking Jan immediately against Izzy is a stupid corporate UFC move, and could only hold-up another weight-class indefinitely like McG did, so WAR JAN in that regard.
p.s.- I had no love for Jan 1-2 years ago, and thought we was super beatable, and super boring. KOing an arrogant Rockhold and Correy Anderson does miracles for your PR though.
Ankalaev would send him back to the shadow realm
