In light of Conor coming back I feel like Cowboy has been a bit overlooked, so I thought I'd remind everybody of what an incredible career this man has had and what an absolute legend of the sport he is. I would be lying to you if I said I was picking him to win next Saturday, but Cowboy is someone that you can never count out and he always shows up to put on a fight. Donald Cerrone is one of my all-time favorite fighters and he should be one of yours too. I hope he just comes out and wrestles. Maybe eats a left, survives, then says fuck it and grapples. He's got a really big advantage in the grappling considering this is at WW. I fear the UFC is giving him a "incentive" to stand and bang. Cowboys always been a company man. Still throwing $20 on Cowboy via sub, it's 8:1 odds.
Cerrone always seem to take a couple of tough losses and then bounce back when counted out That being said.....Conor gonna destroy this guy Maybe he can bounce back in his next one
A freaking legend. Lawler is still treated like one of GOAT's (At least JBG wise) here and Donald pretty much won 12 and half minutes of that fight. If he had prepared himself for that last big flurry he might have had the dec in the bag. But he doesn't watch tape - just fights.
Love Cowboy. He was hot for around a dozen fights where his only loss was to RDA. Fought hard and OFTEN. He's a true warrior.
I will always appreciate Cowboy for doing a number on Hernandez career. The kid went from super aggressive to a pointfighter after Donald headkicked him.
There's no fighter like Cerrone. It's absolutely dumbfounding how under appreciated and overlooked he is. It's been a lot like that throughout his long ass career. This will be his 40th pro MMA fight, after making his debut 14 years ago. Been a Cerrone fan since his 3rd pro fight, at ROF in Denver. Watched him go on a 4 fight, first round stoppage run in ROF. When he moved over to WEC, I tuned in for all of his fights, as well as his entire UFC run. I bought tickets for McGregor vs Siver only because Cerrone jumped on the card last minute for his trilogy fight with Benson. "Cowboy" is one of the greatest fighters in MMA/UFC history. Quite possibly the greatest fighter that never won a title. I've never felt that his legacy is one that requires that. He was always just looking to fight, and hopefully put on a good show. He's also one of the most humble and respectful fighters in the sport. With all of that said, win, lose or draw, it would be nice to see him retire after he fights Conor. Cowboy is a legend
That is good betting sir. I think Cowboy is a live dog.... I’m super biased so the odds look tempting
