Swimming test:
100m + 10m underwater in 1mn 39sec
This is a huge improvement (last year was 1mn 55sec) due I think to more chins and finally deciding to use crawl on the entirety of the test. I swim once a year, it's for this test ^^
This gives me the best score so I'm quite happy with it!

I'm now taking almost 5mn rest between sets of chins. I don't know if it's a good approach, but for now I want to hit 20 reps, and I think the endurance aspect will take care of itself by then. Once I hit 20 reps, it's back to sets of 5 reps of weighted chins, and I'll see how much carryover there is!

Should have done GM, but no time. I'll try to do them today.

I wanted to try these with a light weight. Strict, close to parallel back, plates back to the floor between reps. I might do them consistently, haven't decided on it yet.

BW chins 16 / 16 / 15 (supersetted with the bench wave)

Chins are becoming hard, but I believe I could probably rock 18-19 in a row if I wanted. I don't know if it's carryover from heavy weighted chins, but it's working out quite well for now. Being able to rep 20 chins at my current bodyweight had been a long standing goal of mine since I was able to do it some 6-7 years ago, so looking forward to achieve it!
 
After more than 6 months off this board, here is to hoping I can get back here more regularly and track my progress. Happy new year to all of S&P!

In 6 months I've done :

- 3 months of Olympic Weightlifting in an OL club with an OL coach, working up to a C&J PR of 97kg;
- 2 weeks of visiting Moscow and getting wasted;
- X remaining months doing nothing because of laziness/too much work/insert lame excuse here.

Also got a diagnostic with a deviated nasal septum, presumably caused by breaking my nose on 3 occasions, but I never realized the problem. Maybe I'll get surgery this year or next.

I'm going to Africa for a maybe 4-months mission in 20 days, and I have no idea if I'll have time with strength training. I have nonetheless tested my current PRs and will start an all new 5/3/1 routine if time allows for it.

So for future reference:

Squat 1RM: 135kg
Deadlift 1RM: 160kg
Bench 1RM: 100kg (ouch)
Press 1RM: 60kg

These numbers suck, but what did I expect after such a long time off... Hopefully I'll see fast gains.

As for accessory work I don't know yet, for now I'm not doing jack shit. Eventually I'll do body weight stuff I guess, like BW chins on press and bench days, and push-ups or dips on squat and deadlift days.
 


This is 90kg at around 83kg BW.

Sadly my 97kg PR was not recorded.

As for the obvious goal of 100kg, I could rack it, but got pinned on the platform and unable to front squat it up... But happy as hell to have managed that much already!
