Basically a 15 year old girl was raped in front of 40 "people" who watched the rape and live streamed it and NO ONE CALLED for help or the "po po" as people call them.

If only they had some christian morality someone would have been a man and stopped the shit or at least called the cops.

A group of boys allegedly raped a 15-year-old Chicago girl, streamed the attack live on Facebook, while roughly 40 people watched the savage assault live and did nothing about it.

Fox News reports that police only discovered what had happened after the girl’s mother approached Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson as he was leaving a news conference at the 10th District police station in the Lawndale neighborhood late Monday.

The girl’s mother showed Johnson screenshots of the alleged assault, according to Johnson’s spokesman Anthony Guglielmi. Johnson told WGN-TV, “What’s even more disturbing, more than the fact that they did this, there were so many people that saw this and they didn’t pick up the phone and dial 911. That’s just not right and (we’re) working on it and try to bring it to a successful resolution.”

Johnson ordered an investigation; the police department asked Facebook to pull the video off the Internet. Her mother showed WGN News four screens grabs that WGN reported are too graphic for TV.

The Chicago Tribune stated that the girl, a Lane Tech freshman, was reported missing after she didn’t return to her Lawndale home after going to the store. The girl’s uncle reportedly saw the Facebook Live video showing the boys raping his niece. The girl wasn’t found until Tuesday morning; police said she appeared to be in “good condition” and was returned to her mother.

On Monday, before the girl was found, the mother said, “I just want her home. I just want to make sure she’s ok cause I know she’s probably scared and embarrassed. I just want her back home.”

Damn.... sounds like people watching could have thought it was a snuff film or just an act. Regardless, if this all turns out to be true, that's some horrible shit.

If I come across something like this on Facebook, joke or not, I would report it.
You just have to do something in this type of situation, and if it wasn't a joke or staged, you helped catch them or bring it to someone's attention as quickly as possible.

Couldn't imagine 40 people watching and doing nothing. Damn.
 
It's Chicago. No offense to the good people there, but it's a really bad city.
 
The world is full of shitty people. Some human garbage will stream a rape, while a nother piece of shit will use that tragedy to insinuate that atheists wouldn't object to such actions, and are cool with kids getting raped.

If the human excrement sherdogger had any "Christian morality" he wouldn't be so ghoulish as to use this event to make the false point that morality comes from religion. Then again, he's probably a militant atheist false flagging the other side. Reprehensible either way.

Is Lane Tech a college? The girl's uncle also watched and did not alert authorities? Or he checked it out after the fact but before it got taken down?
 
70% of Americans identify as Christians.

Statistically speaking Christians weren't just a few of the people who did nothing, they were the majority of people who did nothing. Also likely they were involved in the raping.

Who knows what it actually looked like though... maybe it didn't appear violent, I don't know.

I agree siding with caution though, as you suggested, but not everybody believes it's their responsibility to get involved in these kinds of matters. It was through Facebook so the people watching were likely friends / family of the alleged perpetrators as well, so the likelihood of them calling the police would be marginal at best.

Isn't there some kind of phenomenon where nobody calls the authorities when a crime is being committed because everybody thinks everybody else is calling the authorities? I remember reading about a woman being stabbed to death on a street, I believe in NYC, and tons of people watched, but nobody called the cops, everybody assuming others had already called.

Maybe it didnt, and we just don't know. Yet I cannot imagine even seeing a girl getting gangbanged on Facebook and not doing something. Maybe I'm just being optimistic when putting myself in that position, but i don't think so.

It seems we are told not to look after ourselves and it's always someone else that should be watching out for us, and each other. Certainly seems like it's someone's responsibility.
