Just because you score the more effective shots at the end of a round, does not mean you take that round.

That was a very, very easy fight to score. A clear 1,2,4 for Bisping.

So there is nothing wrong with the scoring system in your eyes?

Not disagreeing with how you scored the fight- but if someone is winning (not dominating) for 4 minutes then gets dropped in the alst 30 seconds and the guy who was losing finishes the round throwing strikes at the dropped guy- he usually wins the round.

There are aspects of the scoring system I don't like sure. But right now, the scoring system is the scoring system. Bisping won within that set of rules, did he not?

Are you giving 3 to Silva because of the knee at the end of the round?

YOU HYPOCRITE.

Silva didn't even try to win. Either he was completely unaware he was behind 3-1 (which is terrible) or he was aware and he simply let Bisbing win. He did nothing in the final 2 minutes of the fight.

Agreed

Maybe, but he shouldn't. If someone is winning for 4m 30s and then drops the last 30s, he should lose the round.

Silva got dropped in one and two, I would give the 3rd to Bisping a last minute knee doesn't change the fact Bisping won that round, Silva took 4 off and only dominated in the 5th. He lost maybe he should have had his vitamins.

Bisping won the decision because that's how fights are scored. The way Anderson fights, he needs the finish. He had 5 rounds to do it and he couldnt. He also connected with a cheap cheap flying knee that dropped Bisping, and had 2 more rounds to finish him, but he still coasted

It's debateable and why we have humans judging these things. If a guy is winning a round as in he is landing more strikes (let's say 30-12) and dictating the pace but not really dominating the other guy, then the other guy drops him and finishes the round on top punching away then he should get the round. Dropping someone whether there was some luck involved or what should be more significant than landing a couple more shots in the round.

This...and i really hate Bisping. I have gotten dubs a few times for bashing Bisping, but Silva lost. He gave rounds to Bisping by fighting dumb.

I'd agree, but look at the rounds Bisping won (1,2,4) and then look at the judging criteria:

Effecting Striking
Effective Grappling
Octagon Control
Aggression

Bisping clearly had Octagon Control & Aggression for the rounds he won, seeing as Silva spent most of the time against the fence (fair enough, he wanted to be there).
So then it comes down to effective striking seeing as grappling was not in the equation. Bisping wins for say 4 mins. Anderson lands far heavier for 1 minute. Bising still has the other pieces of the judging criteria in his backpocket.

I already said I agree that Bisping won according to the rules. I also would give Bisping 1,2,4.

A lot more people than I'd expect still don't understand the 10 point must scoring system and talk about damage. Good simple break down TS.

It normally require a lot more than a mini-flurry at the end of the round (rocked or knocked down for example) to take it unless it was even before then.

It does sway judges sometimes and you always have to feel a little fortunate when the close round goes your way but I see no problem with Bisping getting round 4.

Agreed. the question is by how much was each round won? Imagine if hockey scored periods the way MMA scores rounds. The Red Wings outscore the Penguins by three points in one period, but are outscored 1-0 in the other two periods. MMA insists that the Penguins won 2-1, because winning the period matters more than how much you won it by, but a more precise system has the Red Wings winning 3-2.
