hey guys, ive been checking this forum for about 2 years so im not a stranger to sherdog and thaught it was time to make an accaunt :)

Jones shocked the world with his domination of the legend shogun, but alot of people have seem to forgot how most were thinking....

[YT]watch?v=orgUYOXxtL0[/YT] Skip to 10:00 please (not sure if it works btw so : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orgUYOXxtL0 )

    XD

Jon Jones landed 102 strikes, 75 of which FightMetric classified as significant. "Shogun" tallied 11 strikes for the entire fight. He attempted 42.

    Jones went 3-for-3 in takedowns.

To his credit, "Shogun" never allowed Jones to pass his guard.

That wasn't his debut... but to this day, I still think Bonnar put up the best fight against Jones, that isn't saying much seeing as how one sided it was, but still... He weathered a vicious storm for the first 2 rounds and started to rally against a winded Jones in the third. That's how memory serves me, but maybe I don't recall right.

His 'Come on, son' shtick is both condescending and annoying. Although in this case, it was probably justified.

Okay I'll try, but I'm kinda stupid..

So almost 3 years ago, some guy thought Shogun would beat Jon Jones. (How unlikely..?)
And you decided to make a thread about it now,
    7 fights later...?

I dunno, maybe I missed something?

Lmao! I laughed hard at this.

And as far as the video goes, its only Shogun fans. According to most of them Shogun have a stylistic advantage over every light heavyweight he's ever faced.

of course, at the time Jones' best win was bader. Who is now seen as a can now that Glover has beat him. Oh well sherdog gonna sherdog.

Obviously a total Shogun hugger, or part of his crew, who knows.

But I just gotta wonder what was going on through that guys mind while Jones was beating Shogun into oblivion, then procedeed to make him tap to strikes.

I don't think I've ever seen this clip, funny stuff.

Eh? I didn't like Jones back then and wanted Shogun to win but was pretty damn sure Jones was going to beat him.

Then why in the hell didn't you just start out the thread by commenting on that instead of your ultra ghey remarks that started out with "hey guys...". Crapy thread title also, where was Jones seen? In the cage maybe? Calling someone Sherlock because they asked a question about your lacking thread...psshhfft.

Yes. Jones fans like to take the opinion of a few Shogun fans on a forum and act like they were the small minority that saw greatness in Jones.
