Thanks guys, your comments will be taken into account. I'm under no illusion that an actual teacher cannot be replaced by a video but for the time being, at least, it's how it's going to be. And due caution will be exercised at all times!

I hear you. I'll make a simple comparison that should make sense to you. You're a Muay Thai guy, right? Okay, so let's say someone wanted to train Muay Thai, but couldn't make it to a gym. He got the necessary gear, some instructional vids, and a training buddy, and started to train. How far do you think he could get? That's about how far you would get in grappling. You would learn the techniques but you wouldn't learn them well, and probably wouldn't be great at applying them. But it's better than nothing if it's your only option.
