But truth is that country has changed in the past few years. Have never, I mean NEVER had issues crossing the border till trump's administration came in. Considering my peoples traditional area extended in to the USA is such a slap in the face.

So fuck 'em for being such a fucked up nation nowadays.

You can probably trace this back to 911, in this now post paranoid world. Seems to be getting worse by the year.

True but it I never had issues outside of the regular "why are you here" "what are you doing?" - since 2009 I used to travel to the USA to train at various bjj academies and they'd always end up interested in me doing that.

Nowadays (since trump) I get asked about non-existent criminal behaviour and then get sent to further questioning and scrutiny (usually 30 mins to an hour).

LOL, also asking me for proof that I am Native - fuckers look at me and tell me I'm anything but plains native. Cocksuckers.

anyhow, time to abandon this as im getting riled up.

Shit they were doing that the day after 911 (before as well, I'm sure, but to the max afterwards). Ignorance, FEAR. Wiping out 3000 people in an instant can create that environment unfortunately.
