I love this picture...This picture symbolizes many aspects of BJJ that many people tend to overlook (sacrifice, commitment & dedication, humility, brotherhood, RESPECT).

***SOMEBODY SHOULD PHOTOSHOP THIS INTO A MOTIVATIONAL POSTER***

Cool picture......who is that? (Guy getting black belt)

I honestly don't know, I was just looking through my folder of jiujitsu pix and then I saw this. I think the fact that I don't even know who they are makes me enjoy the picture even more lol.

I'm looking at it again, and damn.......looks like the guy can't even speak. Probably one of the happiest moments in his life.

P.S I'd be freakin happy if I got my blue belt (yes white belt :() lol

I believe that's Mamazinho out of the Gracie Barra camp in Seattle giving the blackbelt to Micah Reyes.

theres no cryin in baseball...........

oops. nm.

great pic btw.

He would be a suitable candidate for TUF 5 with those tears... j/k

That's a great picture.
Considering that this guy has probably dedicated at least 10 years of his life to serious training; blood, sweat, tears, ...sacrifice. Not to be sappy but...
very few get to the level of this person in the picture.
Everyone thinks they can, but few actually stick with it year after year night after night.
I'd cry too.

yeah man i feel the same way

Fantastic picture. You are right in that you can derive so much emotion and character from this image. Congrats to the new black belt.

I bet that's one of the greatest accomplishments any martial artist could have, but still, I think it's a bit dishonorable to just throw the brown belt to the floor.

That's awesome, I wish they had belts in submission grappling, so I knew where I stood.

I think the best part of the picture is the brown belt on the floor

The picture looks awesome with the brown belt on the floor in my opinion. Transitions very well.
