VENOM page almost killed Cyborg last night then trapped him in a pokiball. Can the sport survive a death inside of the UFC octagon broadcast on national TV or payperview?

Hey dummy, people have died before in mma, mcgregors team mate killed a guy 2 months ago..

I think there are a lot of factors involved. If a guy dies due to a heart attack like Dada almost did, I think it wouldn't have a huge influence. But if Santos were to die from a massive strike to the forehead, I think there would definitely be repercussions.

Never underestimate how strong the forces are that want to completely pussify society.

Yes. But Bellator should stop those fucking freakshows, they're almost begging that something happens.

I usually like to make a joke about just anything ... but this shit's serious

Soccer players have collapsed and died on pitch. NASCAR drivers have died in crashes shown on TV. Boxers have collapsed and died shortly after fights. They all continue to survive.

The UFC shouldn't be any different.

Absolutely it would survive . The usada is what will kill mma.

We will Have a bunch of Brian caraway and Jonathan goulet champions.

He's not a dummy, he clearly was talking about a relatively high profile event like last night's. Did you miss that part of his two sentence OP?

I think it is a good question.

Can you imagine how many more just bleed fans there are out there that haven't just got into the sport, personally I think a death would do amazing free publicity. As sick as it saying it but I think in the long run it would do great for the numbers and also give the fighters better health cover

yeah, the UFC/MMA would survive.

Would take a hit for sure, but it would be fine.

There were plenty deaths in others sports too. But MMA will have a harder judgment however.

I think it will have more to do with the circumstances. As with anything, blame will have to be established. Who that falls on will be the issue. If the UFC the commission are to blame, it could be an issue. Was it a referee at fault? Again, an issue. I hope we never have to see it televised, but I think that may be a turning point in this sport.

Hey dummy I'm talking about on the sports biggest stage... the UFC you know the organization this fucking specific forum is about.

Maybe. People have died from boxing matches before, it's still going.

Granted MMA isn't boxing, and has a reputation for brutality, but I think MMA would still truck on in some capacity.

It wouldn't do shit to stop it in Japan or Brazil.

This is what happens when you put on ridiculous mismatches...

First DODO5000, now this.

Bellator needs to get a grip.
