No, It still means a lot, just means less against a guy like Jones.
 
Wrestling allowed DC to be an equal in the clinch and get in close, cardio was the reason he got taken down not worst wrestling.
 
Isin't Jon's base wrestling too? Maybe USA should scout harder for their Olympic team?
 
This is old news, remember a young GSP? He had zero wrestling base, much less a JUCO title.

Gus did though. Tripped him, took him down, it didn't just happen once. He must've expected it after the first time. But the issue here is still Jones' size, and the fact that Cormier gassed big. Cormier could not even get inside, and when he did take him down, it required all of his stamina. Hope Gus or Johnson ends this..
 
Jones getting taken down by Gus and Jones taking down DC were both influenced directly by striking. You don't strike in wrestling. If DC didn't have to worried about being elbowed and shit he would have been able to get double unders without fear and take him down.

everybody should already know mma wrestling is different at Jones is one of, if not the, best.

Oh here we go again, people shitting on Gus even though he's shown how he's constantly improving time and again.

He tripped Jones as well as took him down. Gus also defended and scrambled quite well. Give credit where it's due, Jones left that fight with the belt but in a stretcher heaving and crying meanwhile Jones was disdainful towards Cormier in the last round.
 
Wow man, you cant just call him a junior college wrestler.He pretty much could have went to any college he wanted and chose mma.

IMO That s cause the same people who are nuthuggin Jones now were doing the same for Cormier ONE Hour ago and the past months.

But hey, they got to side with the "goat" cause they always side with the guy who is winning no matter what.

Gus conquered Jones soul forever. So hard Bones did anything in his power to avoid the rematch.

Good news, Gus is nexxt for him after The Mauler destroyed Gassing Out Machine Johnson in front of a wild and epic crowd that will enjoy every single second of it.
