    An olympic wrestler being taken down by a junior college wrestler. Plus that junior wrestler was taken down by a kickboxer like Gus

    MMA has come full circle, MMA is the best base...not wrestling

    If anyone wraps their lanky arms around your legs and pulls, you are going down. I'd bet 9/10 times Jones would not get the takedown on DC if he actually shot for it.

    Wrestling is a great base but it is limited. What Jones does is more than wrestling.

    MMA wrestling > pure wrestling.

    MMA grappling is much more than just wrestling.

    Well, you don't know if they're going to hit you in the head or take you down or throw a kick or throw an elbow....

    A wrestler is only concentrating on one thing in a sequence.

    Wrestling is still important. It just cant be the only tool in your box. especially pure wrestling. You can throw all the collegiate and olympic pedigrees you want. MMA wrestling is a TOTALLY different beast as Jones proves yet again.

    Wrestling base is still the best base, Jones is just a freak of nature that doesn't seem adhere to that.
