I've just started out taking Creatine, and I have a few questions.

  • What is the best drink to mix Creatine with?
  • How many times a day should you take it and how many grams should you take in each serving?
  • Do you take Creatine every day, or do you only take it on the days that you are working out?

Btw I'm 17 / 165 pounds

Thanks.

1-anythign with simple sugars that isn't acitic. mabby a scoop of corn sugar and water.

2-About 5 grams per serving. (1 leval table spoon) 1-2 time a day 30 mins before and directly after workout. or 5 times a day for the first week if you a loader type guy.

3.Yes take it even when you aren't working out.

read the lable too.

Also, are Red bull and Gatorade good to take with Creatine?

Red Bull is chock full o' caffeine. I don't know how everyone else feels but I try to stay away from caffeine. Plus the regular Red Bull has 30g of sugar. I don't know about Gatorade but unless I'm doing a shitload of cardio I stay away from anything that has sugar.

I have always been taking it with grape juice. I also taken it with protien shake.

There doesn't need to be any more posts, now.

Not bad, just unnecessary.

If done correctly, unnecessary. I think a number of the cases involving creatine toxicity had to do with guys who were loading 20g a day without an off-cycle (but yeah, that's not loading, technically, but overdosing). I had a friend who almost died from kidney failure back in the early days of creatine because he was overdosing, then one day he took something like a 100-150g serving.

Dumbass.

Creatine toxicity?

I'm gonna have to appeal to authority on this one. Evidence please.

Also, any research on kidney failure being linked to creatine supplementation in healthy users would that you have would be the first I've ever heard of. Got any evidence of that as well?

Thanks.

How long does it usually take before you should start seing results from the creatine..
