First off I’d like to state that It’s great to be back on sherdog after lurking from the sideline for many years (you can guess what happened right? Well, I’ve made peace with it since then, Ive reflected on things and all I can say is I will be more careful and try not to get overly passionate with my opinions in arguments anymore) as you might guess (or perhaps might not even care) what brings me back specifically to sherdog is Fedor’s victory. It’s such an inspiration that I felt I needed to make the effort. After all sherdog does host the most intelligent forum for mma discussion and to not be a part of it for so long has kinda sucked.

Secondly I think it’s a good time to recommend a very special fedor Russian documentary that you may or may not have seen (I have the impression the American documentary made around the time of his Sylvia fight was more popular and viewed amongst hardcore fans). The testimonies given in this half hour piece are just as relevant today and it really goes deep into the positive role model, good friend, father, family member, and person in general that he is.

I think this is so important, especially in times like now where the sport has been devalued so much and we are living in an era (and society) where anti-values are being promoted in martial arts.

This is for those martial art purists and fedor fans that honor the life style which respects the ethical code of conduct that a person with such title should have. A true role model.

Hopefully we get some good commentary here about this documentary that I feel “flew under the radar” (at least for me).

Vítor- weeee back mamaaaa

Was a good documentary, didn't know a lot of the earlier stuff. He is goat, and did so much for others along the way. He fought thru injuries others damn sure wouldn't have, and showed the heart of a real fighter. He fought anyone they put in front of him. In a division where one punch ends the fight, he ruled Supreme.

This is great, a lot more in depth than a lot of Western documentaries, love the training footage

Any idea when it was originally shot?

Yea, the part that made me think was where fedor is so humble he would not care about training with a bunch of small kids. There are many diva fighters out there that wouldn’t want that type of attention and are all jet set about it, they only train with stars.

I get the impression it was like around 2015 when fedor was about to make his return vs jaideep singh
