Interesting insight into the show. So I guess yoga guy was chosen only because he's from the city where the show is being broadcast?

It was hilarious when they first saw the octagon and he jumped up onto it and did the whole victory pose.

The show is broadcast everywhere in China, since every family with basic cable TV can watch it. But it was filmed in the yoga guy's hometown. He would have made a perfect hometown favorite, actually, if he could take a kick to the thigh.
 
I'd like to know what rank he is in BJJ, he looked pretty poor against someone who has 0 grappling experience.

I don't disagree he looked poor, but BJJ grappling and MMA grappling are just so different things. Xin was not trying to escape on the ground, he was trying to negate.

He looked fine when he was on top, the only problem is that he spent way too much time trying to negate Xin's retarded attacks that he forgot to strike. He should've just punched and elbowed a lot more because why would you be concerned with a dude trying to go for some half-assed wristlock or a triangle from the bottom with no arm in? Just hit him and if he tries to escape, win the scramble and stay on top.

While his control is fine, it doesn't work well for him in an MMA fight.
