Big Diaz fan but I had him losing every round against Silva but I feel GSP dominated Nick even more in their fight so doing some very unreliable MMA math... a bulked up GSP would beat Silva - at least this 39 yr old version- Georges would prob get the decision maybe dropping only one round 49-46

If Silva dropped to 170 (like GSP requested) or if they did a catch weight of 177 GSP would prob destroy him 50-45

GSP would lay on top of Anderson Silva for 5 rounds to a decision victory.

GSP from 2008-2009 would've owned any version of Silva at CW IMO.

GSP did better because of his wrestling obviously. His explosive TDs are gone. Anderson by KO.

Bigger and taller, yeah I would give him a good chance.

A bulker GSP, not so sure. He's not as fast or big as Andy. Combined, both of those can out-match strength.

A bigger GSP could defeat Silva. And honestly I do not see why GSP doesn't just fight Silva. He has nothing to lose, no belt or anything. Even if he loses to Silva he can go back to 175 and be a immediate title contender.

I'm sure GSP regrets not taking the fight and solidifying his legacy after watching Diaz go toe to toe with Silva.

Of course this was before the injury, Anderson may have actually destroyed GSP. But doubtful given that wrestlers tend to neutralize Anderson pretty effectively.

He may not be as fast as Silva but look at the success Diaz had... or "success" he had lol

Apparently Diaz did do some damage with those leg kicks so I would think that GSP with his tree trunks for legs and way better kicking might do even more damage to Silva.

As a GSP fan I still had Silva winning any "superfight" but now against this 39 yr old... I think it would be a GSP win- if he put on 10-15lbs of muscle. That's a lot...maybe 10lbs muscle would be doable for him

I guess he'd have a chance against a 39 year old Silva, maybe he could lay and pray as usual.

He knew he had no shot against Silva when they were both peaking.

We don't even need to see the fight. GSP knew he would lose and refused to take it for nearly a decade.

GSP ducked the fight multiple times when it was available. He wants no parts of Anderson, even now after he's been beaten. GSP's legacy is secure though, he doesn't need the fight and would lose the fight.

He's still 2b. to Silvas 2a. on the GOAT list though. They're neck and neck in terms of legacy but the thin razor's edge to Silva since GSP did duck him afterall.

Well, first of all he never "ducked" him, GSP said numerous times he would fight Silva at 170 lbs. If Silva went down to 170 the fight would have happened.

GSP didn't want to go up in weight and fight him, he always said if he gained weight and moved up it would be a permanent thing as he has trouble gaining/losing. But he was a Champion, I'm sure he thought if he put on the weight he would beat Silva...that's the way he thought. He still had WW fights in front of him and loads of $$$ that's why he didn't fight Silva-- there was no ducking involved

LOl at the GSP hate this thread always produces.

Is saying "come to my weight class" as embarrassing as creating a friendship to avoid a fight?

Anderson is the only guy calling out smaller fighters.
