Yep. I work with wood, and this is nice wood, but perhaps overkill for a speedbag

Mind you, if I felt I could justify the cost, then why not...

yeah a lot of people are used to particle wood which causes the platform to vibrate which is highly annoying, this "looks" solid, and probably has no vibration what so ever.

The OP's link shows a nice drum, but you can easily have one of those custom made after the fact. I'll stick to my Balazs platform. Rock solid, proven and also made in the USA.

The design is amazing and worth the money for a large commercial gym, it is the best speed bag unit I have hit. I still want to try the cleto version...
