A bear fought in WW2 and drank beer and smoked smokes

Best part of his story was him finding the enemy spy.

IIRC, the Polish Army donated him to Edinburgh Zoo after the War. One of the veterans visited the Zoo years later, and the bear still recognized him.:cool:
 
I've heard of a horse and dog being used in combat warfare, so a bear isn't totally unreasonable it was groomed (for lack of better term) since it was a little, young cub. This comes as no surprise to me.
 
Should've killed it, stolen its stoges & booze all the while taking a pic over its corpse. That'll get you all the hot broads into hunting, especially the hairy ones with poor hygiene.
 
While bears can be tamed as many exotics can be they always stay a little wild. Putting him in this combat situation made it much more likely for something bad to happen. Luckily it never did and sounds like a pretty amazing animal.
