Shkreli became famous for price gouging, but he went to jail for running a ponzi scheme.

Had he not been so pretentious, law enforcement probably wouldn't have started digging into his affairs in the first place.

It's pretty baffling. Agreement among people is almost unanimous that these are the kinds of situations where the excesses of a capitalist system need to be controlled directly by the government. But most lawmakers are unwilling to take strong, swift action. Let's raise the price of chairs sold in Washington DC to seventy-five million dollars.

Are you stupid? I'm pretty sure you are stupid. When you have laws specificity designed to protect a certain industries, in this case pharmaceutical companies then allow them to charge ridiculous prices for for drugs that people need to live, we usally call that crony capitalism.

Let me give you an example of a law that protects the industry. Individuals can not sue the makers of a generic drug, yet insurance companies will not cover the brand name drugs. So you are stuck either paying insane out of pocket prices expenses or you are stuck not being able to sue the drug marker if you have complications from your medication. This is not fair to the people and is designed to protect the industry.

Go ahead give me a lesson on how great this is in your idealistic capitalism. Like I said are you stupid? Can you not see the problem? Go ahead and continue posting your stupid bullshit.
