Agree or Disagree?
As someone who works in marketing, I promise you 100% of the images you see in magazine/websites/etc are photoshopped. Every single one.
As someone who is into fapping.....I don't give a fuk.
Who looks at pictures for that these days?
Your mother....she doesn't know how to interweb that well.
If this were true there would be a huge difference in the quality and style of photos before photoshop and after.
I get it, photoshop has made it easier to get average people to look awesome but it isn't magic.
Why does it have to be huge? Every. Single. Photo. you see in ads or whatever has been photoshop. Some need more than others. That's is just a fact, I know it is because I am responsible for making it a fact.
A girl on the cover of Maxim is going to be far more heavily retouched than a old woman in a real estate ad, but they're both retouched.
Edit: And yes, it is magic. In one ad we made, there was an elderly teacher in a stock photo we used. When the campaign launched, she was a smokin hot 30 year old teacher.
If you want, post a photo of yourself and I'll turn you into an asian lesbian when I get bored.
Being retouched and being turned into another human are not the same thing...
This is a huge claim, and not one you could ever demonstrate. Seeing as how I personally have produced an add without photoshopping I know your claim is false.
Retouching is a misnomer. The level of edits we make is pretty significant.
Ok fair enough, every photo that comes out of an ad agency or major publication, etc. I'm talking about high level stuff. Every photo in a Cosmo magazine it heavily edited. Maybe not a local real estate agent in rural Kansas.
Yeah, that's a pretty safe bet.
see now i don't get why all the ufc ring girls go through all this surgery to look identically to one another when they already get photoshopped
There is a big disconnect if someone is usually seen in person. For example, look at this photo of Vana White, who is nearly 60. I couldn't immediately find a ring girl section on the UFC site.
You mean like porn pics?
I'm sure there is a ton of photoshop going on but not 95%. A friend of mine is a pretty busy working model and looks the same in real life.
If you saw the before and after you'd see a massive difference though. Usually you just smooth the skin out, brighten the eyes, remove blemishes like bags under the eyes, clean up the hair, trim down the fat that is added by the weird camera angle, etc. The photo itself is changed massively, even if to only make her look more like she does in real life.
It depends on how the image is being used. If she were going to be on the cover of a magazine it would be a bigger change.
If you hire a model, you make less changes. The video in the OP would only happen if you were editing a stock photo, otherwise you'd just hire a better looking girl.
