Depends on what you mean by "best candidate"

I don't think anyone is saying that within the last few months she showed herself to be some genius politician, just that she worked hard behind the scenes to cinch enough delegates to head off an open convention.

If the assertion is that she campaigned for herself, then I have no problem with that.

my assertion is that it is more likely that internal polling showed a less favorable outcome by not picking her and going to an open convection than her being an amazing, convincer of people which caused them to rally behind her.

The reason why I think my opinion is better is that she has never shown to be a person that is capable of convincing people of anything. She was terrible during the nomination process and was very unliked in her position. I don’t think that it is reasonable to say that my position is outlandish.

Both of these opinions are not necessarily mutually exclusive, but if you had to ask me what was the reason that she became the nominee, it is way more likely that the situation is closer to what I am saying what he is saying.

Pelosi came out in favor of an open convention though and specifically to avoid the perception of Kamala being anointed so if anything the evidence would suggest the opposite of what you're claiming.

Why do you think it's appropriate to address race? or something to that affect, suggesting it was inappropriate. Of course that came up because of the NABJ interview when pressed on DEI specifically and Harris. Oh yeah, that's a load of bullshit.

the fact that they were fact checking at all is ludicrous, that's Kamel's job, not ABC, holy fuck, how do you have a debate where the moderator is fact checking in one direction, and gets it arguably wrong no less, and then you consider it non bias? this isnt about tough questions, not one question about late term abortion, which is a STATES issue, the fact that abortion was a question or mention at all, was silly and only mentioned to confuse the NPC crowd.

No the article said a lot more than that. And even if that's all it said it would still undermine your claim that the party anointed her out of fear of the bad optics of doing otherwise. Either way I based my take on reporting around the issue, is there any reporting you can point to that backs up your assertion?
