    I hit a surprise arm crush from that position about as often as I hit the triangle. But when I hit it, it's the second I set up the position, I don't work my way there methodically.

    Yeah, makes sense. It's there, or it's not.

    There are probably 5 or 6 other reasonably high percentage submissions I could show if I shot this today.

    This is great stuff. I have long history of meniscus problems, so bearing down on triangles runs a high risk of hurting my own knees. It's a good control position, however, and these "alternative" submissions are pretty high percentage. I'm also a fan of the "elbow heel hook" kimura variant when they hide the inside arm under your hips.
