I make no secrets about it, I'm fat, not that I could hide it anyway but it's one of the primary reasons I started jujitsu. My problem is I can't find much that will fit me, other than the Padilla & Sons products but apparently they are sold out until maybe the middle of Januaray and I'd like to get something cheap to hold me over until then.

I know this thread has been done before, I have even posted in them but now I can't seem to find them anywhere. Does anyone else close to my size have any good recomendations.

I saw on the Atama site that their Mundail #1 is on sale for $99 and there is that %20 off code going around, does anyone have any info on the quality of that Gi? It seems all anyone talks about is the #5 and #7. Their normal single weave comes in the same sizes but is more expensive at my size.

Thanks in advance for anyone willing to help me in my newbness.

The Atama Gis will fit you nice. You should go with a size A6.

Man,

I am about your same weight. You NEED to go with Vulken A5. All the other gi's people will

recommend are good, but with the Vulken pants you get a a lot of leg room. And for us big

guys, we need our legs to be flexible and not let the gi limit our mobility or lack their of.

I have a Koral A5 and the top is fine, but the pants are too tight. I would stop by a store and

try them out yourself.

Here is a link for you.

Good luck and don't quit, push yourself!

dude, an ouano gi would fit well for you, check them out

Thanks for the advice, and encouragement. Seeing how beat up I feel today I could use it. I am going to try and find somewhere local to see if I can try some of these on here, I don't think there will be much here in the IE though. If I can get up the motivation to go to LA there should probably be something.

I ended up going with the OTM gi, they have a local store so I was able to try on some and I am even too fat for most of the A6s to fit well, but they had an A7 there, the size chart lists it for 300-350lbs and so I went with that.

Seems like an average Gi I guess, not that I have anything to compare it to.

A5 should be good for you.

I got some guys your size that I train with and they wear A5.

Hey everyone I don't mean to bring this up again but I am in a similar situation the OP is in.

I am 6ft 1 and 330lbs and I really need help deciding what Gi size I am.

Any brands and sizes answers would be greatly appreciated =)

I think your best bet is to get an A5 or A6 and hem the sleeves and pants. I normally recommend an A2H or you can even check out the articles on GiReviews.Net. They'll help a lot.
