What an amazing fight! Huge respect to both men, Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen. How quickly time flies, it's been 6 years since this incredible fight. I remember the buildup to this fight. The hate for Silva was strong after his performances against Cote, Leites, and Maia. Sonnen talked a lot of smack and a lot of people thought it was going to be a brutal beatdown by Silva. The fight lived up to all the hype and garnered both men a lot of respect (even though they both already deserved it). Sonnen gave a brilliant display of his skills and dominated Silva for 4 and a 3/4 rounds. Silva, who had dominated everyone in his UFC career, showed he could overcome adversity, be tested, be on the brink of defeat, and comeback in the clutch. If you got some time today, give this fight another watch, it's the epitome of what MMA is all about.
GOAT. Say what you will about the man but no amount of PEDs can give you heart like that. The heart of a champion doesn't come in a vial.
Watching it live was shocking as Hel to see how Nasty Shael was doing Anderson. Props on Anderson's sub. Was hoping Handy and Anderson would both win that night.

I remember watching this promo thinking "lmao, Sonnen is going to get toyed with, just selling the fight" Great night, legendary stuff, but unfortunately the detracting thing over time is, Chael was on PED's big time.
