To Urban or anyone with experience: I'm currently 17 years old, 5'11. training in boxing, and about to start wrestling. I'm very strong for my age and weight, in the weight room. I look like I'm around 150+ pounds, but I only weigh 135 right now. I have 1% body fat. How much should I be weighing right now? I'm eating fast food everyday, but they don't get me fat. When will my body mature and gain weight naturally? I'm thinking about gaining 20 pounds or so to get over my plateau for weight lifting, and also get more knockout power. Any suggestions? thanks in advanced.

    first things first

your not 1% bf, sorry, just plain no.

Fast food is not good, don't eat it.

I'm 5' 11 and 84kg. I train and fight MT and that weight is about right for me. I'm strong in the clinch and up close and I've got enough explosiveness to make up the distance because the majority of people that I fight are tall and lanky

I'm curious; how exactly did you conclude that you're at 1% bodyfat?

yes if you had 1% bodyfat you would be dead

But as for your question i found when i was 16- 17 i found it hard to go above 165LB but in my 18th year i wa sable to hold 175- 180 no problem. Now that i'm 20 185lb seams to be my happy spot that my body likes to keep no matter what, but i'm currently working on getting 190LB. hight 5' 10"

oh and a side not the lowset wieght i was eve able to achieve at 16 was 140lb with daily marathon style running mixed with long bike rides

Oh it will in a few years (mid-twenties and up)...Believe me. Get into good eating habits now, or you'll be getting winded going up stairs in no time.

I used to eat everything I could to try and gain weight when I was a teenager, but it never would happen. Then I got to the age I am now (25) still eating the same way, and I put on 60 pounds from ages 23-25 (although I've lost 30 pounds recently). It will catch up with you, so be careful.

You sound like me. I was about 6'0 140-150lbs in highschool. I was a 3 sport athlete and lifted all the time but could not gain weight. Right after highschool I somehow got up to 185 without changing my diet or workout routine. Your body just has to mature. I'm 19 and at a steady 180-185lbs now. I never could gain muscle in highschool and right around 18 it started showing.

I was 155-160 all through high school. I tried everything to gain weight but it just wasn't working. From age 18 - 20 I progressed to 190. Now I'm 21 and 204. I'm 6'1 though so don't be thinking I'm all fat and everything.

    lol

there is a difference between people with no skin and low bf though isn't there :p

I think people coming out of concentration camps after WW2 had about 2-3% bf (just there internal organs were being digested, the fat 'storage' kept them warm)

Are you honestly still claiming to have 1% body fat? Seriously, who told you that?

my trainer told me i had 1% body fat, but now I'm doubting that since i'm sure you guys are more right. I'll definitely check again soon.
And will the food I'm eating now make me suffer later? or will i just have to get my eating habits right when i'm older?
