In 2011 all UFC cards ended in a five-round fight. I remember a lot of discussion going on about the increased risk for injury as a result.

My question is, now that a few years have passed, does anyone have the data to support/disprove the theory of more injuries?

    Thank you

I don't think Mark Hunt needed the extra rounds against Stipe or Bigfoot. Pretty sure some brain damage happened in those fights.

I guess it's fair to say that any injury that has occurred after the 3rd round in a non-title, main event is enough data to prove there have been more injuries as a result. But I'm curious about statically if we can see a significant increase of injuries since that time.
