Costa and Whittaker didn't do sh7t
Gastelum did a lot of damage on Adesanya, but only because Adesanya stood and banged with him all night long and was saying that "he was ready to die", where was all of that with Yoel? we didn't see any of that with Romero.

After Romero hit him right in his face one time, Adesanya started running away. They fought for 5 rounds and Adesaya didn't even let any mark on Romero's face, crazy.

Adesanya is 31 years old, on his prime, the best in the world and the next Anderson Silva (supposedly).
Romero is 43 years old and still the scariest, damn...

Dude, you know that there are people here who actually watched this fight, right?

Israel didn't spend the entire time running.

Most of it looked like this:

It was Romero who didn't want to engage, and was only interested in looking for a one strike KO.

I dont know what to do about romero. I still want to see him fight, but his IQ is abysmal. Plus, hes been losing.

Where the fuck do you put him?

They both blew it. Both are accountable for the trash performance.

If your opponent doesn't want to engage then you track him down and hunt him, if you can't do that and you can only fight as a counter striker then you need to improve your game

I wouldn't say that his fight IQ is bad. At worst, he's some kind of fighting idiot savant.

The way that he's set up some of his big KOs (i.e. Weidman, Machida, Rockhold) was an amazing mix of craft and athletic ability.

It's just that when his gameplan doesn't produce a stoppage, he looks like an idiot.

I just wonder what his career would've looked like without the neck injury and how much it affects his abilities in the cage.

He's a great athlete but really isn't as impressive as he's made out to be.

Adesanya tried man. What exactly are you supposed to do when you have a guy who's built like a tank in front of you who refuses to engage or lower his guard?

The only other option would've been abandon all defense and start swinging wildly, which is exactly what Romero wanted him to do.

Champ has no obligation to do shit. He already has what he wants, needs nothing from his opponent. It's on the challenger to go for it.

Romero cheated his way to the top and blew every gift thrown at him. Blew his first title shot, blew his weight cut to get the inteirm belt vs Luke, once again blew another title shot vs Knuckles by missing the weight and losing the fight, blew the decision vs Costa by clowning and being less active and, finally, still, he gets a yuge gift - a title shot coming off 2 losses - and he blows it again.

Romero is done. It's over. There is nothing scary about the guy as everyone at MW wants him now, so he's running to LHW. Where he'll get schooled as well.

It's the challenger's responsibility to bring the fight. Romero is the one to blame.

I evaluate IQ by the gameplan we see in the beginning and when it needs adjustment. He certainly shit the bed with izzy.

I wouldnt say he shit the bed with costa, but all that silly mouth open tongue out shit, bah... Glad he didnt get clipped during that.

    Ill still always watch though.

Yoel hit him so hard he grew an extra cup size after the fight. That should tell you all you need to know.

No ....hes 1-4 in last 5 but I do agree he beat rob in 2nd fight but when you really dive into to his 13-5 and really absorb his fights , hes not this monster like t.s( and a whole lit others)making him out to be. I've seen him struggle in fights like Kennedy and Brunson- amongst others- but he did pull out win so I'm just basing this on the word " scariest ".

I would like to see a rematch. Romero has the best chance out of all the current MW to beat Adesanya, in my opinion.

Romero had his shot and did absolutely nothing for 25 minutes. That fight was one of the worst title fight stinkers in UFC history.

Israel is partly to blame but Romero just standing in the center of the cage holding his arms across his face has become a pretty funny meme.

Romero is 1-4 in his last 5. I'm surprised they haven't cut him.
