Building a strategy around grappling clearly plays to his athletic gifts-- moreover, his last two fights demonstrated he can really do damage there. He's got that mean-streak to really make it an unpleasant affair. Personally, I think he should lean into this approach until his team manage to clean up his stand-up significantly
