Sure Hooper got beat down, but at least he made his opponent fight him on the ground the entire fight.

It's not like that skinny twink was able to score any real takedowns or anything, but at least he was smart enough to grab on to his opponent and give him no choice but to grapple, even if it was mostly pulling guard and just grabbing onto him however he could.

Maia is just useless if he cant get a single leg. No attempt and seemingly no ability to pull guard, or take the back against the fence, or anything but get stuffed on 30 consecutive takedown attempts that all look exactly the same.

I always root for him, but I hope he doesn't fight again.

As dumb as the thread title is, the OP has a point.

Maia's gameplan of trying to take Belal down with a single leg was clearly doomed to failure. Yet he never moved to plan b.
