Jon has done absolutely nothing for a long time now.

He isn’t going to fight.

He’s not going to fight Ngannou or Stipe or anyone.

He’s going to weight lift and post on Twitter.

Usman is out there knocking people out and defending his title.

In this past year he’s done more than Jon has for years.

Also Jon uses PED’S

does the UFC have no shame?
 
P4P rankings have been a joke for a while now.

Aljamain Sterling is currently top 15. That’s hilarious.
 
It's pretty subjective at this point, but Usman may have passed him.

Usman is a monster, and Jon looked questionable his last few fights but he also seems to rise to the level of competition.

That's why a fight with Ngannou would be intriguing, and would likely answer the question of "Is Jon still still the #1 p4p?"
 
There's an argument for Usman, sure.

ESPN has Usman ranked #1 p4p.

I don’t care about p4p rankings personally though

Absolutely agree, Jon Jones hasn't fought for almost 2 years, why the hell is he even in the rankings, let alone leading the Pound for pound. It's a complete joke.

I like Usman but longevity counts for something. If Jones got KO'd tomorrow he'd still be considered great by anyone with half a brain because of his resume. If Usman was ko'd tomorrow he'd be written off as just hype.
 
Jon should be removed from the rankings due to inactivity. He hasn't fought in over a year and currently has no fight scheduled. And frankly, his last couple of performances were not exactly stellar anyway.
 
No disrespect to Masvidal, but you can argue he isn't top 5 in the division. Usman is a great champion, but this win alone doesn't exactly scream PFP#1.

I guess if you want to penalize Jon for recent performances and a little inactivity, sure. But his resume looms so large over the sport, it's hard to put a guy like Usman over him until we really see that Jon has nothing left in the tank.
 
Given how inactive Jones is these days, yeah absolutely he should be dropping. p4p isn't all time list. It's a list for the modern day, and Jones is not impressing and/or winning fights lately.
 
Usman is the clear P4P #1. Jones has looked trash in his last 3. Dummies just keep him at number one because of the work he did YEARS ago
